Embedded systems often need a PC application to go along side it, whether it’s a desktop app for testing, configuration or a web app for data visualisation or operation.
3D Printing, Laser cutting & CNC
Part of prototyping and maker projects is having all the fun tools. I built my own CNC (pictured above) and have laser and 3D printer. All these help with making physical parts for prototyping.
Maker Projects
We are also involved in the maker scene, which gives a great opportunity to hone skills and learn new ones. See the projects page for a few examples. The goal is to set up a public maker space in the near future. We also run a tech meetup in St Albans, UK
3D modelling and design
Projects often need additional objects designed that can be 3D printed or milled. Anything from an Enclosure for a device or a mechanical design much as the CNC machine I designed.
